About Mad Harper

Since training as a news reporter in the 1980s, I have worked as a journalist, copywriter, PR executive, voiceover & speech writer, blogger, proofreader and media co-ordinator.

I started designing websites when the dot-com boom was really taking off. The end of the 1990s was an extraordinary time – a veritable gold rush with everyone scrambling to get online even before they really knew what “online” meant. This meant a lot of people were getting ripped off or being sold complex functionality that they really didn’t need.

For many of my clients, setting up a website can still feel very daunting so I ensure that I keep things clear and simple. My grounding in journalism and PR means I know how to ask the right questions to help clients work out what they are trying to achieve and to present their business in a way that reflects their style and personality.

As well as web design, I can help you write your copy as we go along and also help you decide on the most relevant content to get your key message across.

The aim is to get you online quickly, easily and economically with a site you love.
